Microsoft office 2016 installation stuck free. MS Office Installation stuck on "Finalizing Installation. This may take a few Minutes..."
I tried re-downloading the set-up file but it was the same size. It's rather annoying as I currently do not have ny copy of office on my win 10 pc. I bought this copy to use it on my win 10 pc and yet it won't install. Any further news on how to fix this? Also would like to note the whole not being able to do a custom installation to choose which programs I want and don't want to install was a BAD move on Microsoft's part. Some of the programs I don't even use but am stuck with them taking up space because of this all or none approach.
Try downloading Office now and check if you are able to install Office normally. In Task Manager make sure there are no Office or Office tasks running. Then restart the computer and try installing Office again, making sure that there are no Office tasks are running in Task Manager prior to running the Office installation.

I've tried twice now to install Office on my windows 10 computer. The first time i let it run and try to install for over 24 hours. No change. Second time around, I used the fix it button and completely uninstalled Office, restarted my computer and ran the installation again.
I look at task manager and it is either not processing or processing at. Any suggestions or tips on what else I can try?

Hello, You may try the following step to resolve the issue: Follow these steps and download Office again: First, check the type of internet connection you are using Wired or Wireless?
If you are using a wireless connection then you may try to hardwire the connection. In case the above step still does not work then follow these steps. Stop the Print Spooler service from Services.
Check if you are able to install Office now. Let us know the result. In reply to Mohan Suryanarayan's post on October 28, No dice. My computer has a wired connection, and I tried re-downloading it and got the same file size of 4.
I disabled the printer spooler, and y antivirus, and tried installed again. It looked like it would launch for a moment but the launch screen appeared then promptly disappeared. Office is taking long to install
From the My Account screen, begin the install of 32bit version of Office No network activity. Stopped task, uninstalled, rebooted, tried to install twice with same result.

Tried a number of times. Stuck on "streaming" with no progress in progress bar for many hours multiple times. I tried the instructions above except "virtual machine"--because I don't know what that is and it sounds intimidating and lengthy--just being honest ; but I still have the same stuck results.
I had the same issue.. I am installing on a secondary "test laptop" as a software developer. I also have Windows 10 Preview installed. I would encourage anyone considering these previews to consider the fact that they are prone to bugs and should not be loaded to a production, or primary computer.
That said, I appreciate the above suggestion from Andre Da Costa. I cleared the Temp Directory, rebooted, turned off my third party anti-virus, restarted the Office Install, and it streamed and installed fine.
